Meet Douglas Baasch, DDS, MD

Dr. Douglas Baasch is a board-certified, dual-degree oral surgeon who values the trust placed in him by patients and considers it an honor to help others regain self-confidence and oral function.

About Dr. Douglas Baasch

Dr. Baasch is from rural Vermont and was initially drawn to oral surgery because of its challenges and high-pressure environment. The ability to help people look, feel, and function better is truly rewarding, whether that’s accomplished by removing pathology, restoration, or correcting a deformity. The transformational power of surgery was extremely compelling, and once Dr. Baasch saw this, he knew this was the career for him.

After completing his residency in June 2020, he spent a little over a year at a private practice prior to joining Kitsap Oral, Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Surgery in 2021. When looking for a practice to join, Dr. Baasch sought a group of like-minded surgeons who share the desire to provide the highest possible standard of care in a professional and compassionate environment. He also wanted to live in an area that provides him and his family access to the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Baasch considers it an enormous privilege to earn the trust of patients. He feels it is his responsibility to his patients and profession to honor this trust and strengthen it with every interaction. When working with a nervous patient, Dr. Baasch connects with them on a personal level and tries to understand the source of stress. He provides a friendly, empathetic, and professional atmosphere where patients can have a calm and enjoyable experience.

Education & Residency

Dr. Baasch earned a BS in music performance from Southern Adventist University in 2009 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2014. He went on to earn a Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Florida in 2018, furthering his medical and surgical expertise and training. Dr. Baasch completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville in 2020.
