Brow Lift & Forehead Lift
Achieve More Youthful-Looking Brows and Forehead
The upper third of the face is among one of the first places to start showing the signs of aging. Aging naturally changes the way skin looks and with a combination of gravity and the loss of collagen, the forehead and brow area begins to show lines and sag. A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, reduces the appearance of forehead wrinkles and lines and repositions the eyebrows for a more youthful look.
Our team at Kitsap Oral, Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Surgery wants every patient to feel confident about their appearance. There are many cosmetic procedures available to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Contact us today for an appointment with one of our cosmetic surgery experts to find out more about a brow lift in Silverdale, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard, WA.
Benefits of a Brow Lift
By undergoing a brow or forehead lift, you can achieve more youthful-looking eyes and a smoother forehead after just one surgical procedure. There are many benefits to this cosmetic treatment, such as:
- Can be combined with other cosmetic procedures, such as a facelift, blepharoplasty, or laser skin resurfacing
- Great for men and women
- Immediately visible results
- Make the eyebrow more symmetrical
- Achieve a more alert and less serious facial expression when the face is at rest
- Results can last around 10 years
The ideal candidate for a brow lift is a nonsmoker with good overall health. Most brow lift patients are over 40, but this procedure can be done for younger patients with disproportionate forehead or brow region due to genetics.
What to Expect When Getting Brow Lift Surgery
At Kitsap Oral, Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Surgery, we make sure you feel comfortable and confident about your treatment with us. During the consultation, you will meet with one of our surgeons who will discuss your goals and anesthesia options, then schedule your cosmetic procedure. IV sedation or general anesthesia is often used for a brow lift.
Your surgeon will make incisions across the top of the head, like where a headband would sit. Once the incisions are made, your surgeon will elevate the forehead and brows, trim excess skin, and place sutures as needed. We may loosely wrap your head after surgery to minimize swelling and bruising. It can take a couple of weeks for the incision sites to heal, but you can resume your normal routine with exception to activity guidelines provided by your surgeon.
If you have forehead lines or seek a more alert, youthful-looking brow, contact our office in Silverdale, Poulsbo, or Port Orchard, WA. Our surgeons look forward to discussing your cosmetic goals and finding the right type of treatment for you.
