Facial Fillers

Replenish Volume and Smooth Wrinkles

Wrinkles are a natural part of aging. There are many surgical cosmetic procedures available to smooth out wrinkles and lines on the face and neck, but minimally invasive procedures, such as dermal facial fillers, can help patients achieve fantastic results without requiring extensive surgery. Facial fillers can smooth wrinkles and restore volume to the face for enhanced contours and smoother skin.

Dr. Dhaliwal offers facial fillers to patients in Silverdale, WA. Contact Kitsap Oral, Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Surgery today to find out how dermal fillers and other cosmetic solutions can help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

Dermal fillers are injectables that are inserted beneath the skin. They are made of a variety of materials, and there are many different brands. At Kitsap Oral, Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Surgery, we use safe and trusted facial fillers that provide optimal results for our patients.

Facial fillers work by restoring hydration to the skin. Hydration is crucial for the skin because the outermost layer of skin needs to be hydrated in order to flush away toxins and provide nutrients to the other layers of skin. Some fillers also contain collagen, which keeps skin from sagging, or hyaluronic acid, which helps the skin retain moisture and repair tissue.

There are many things that facial fillers can do, including:

  • Plump lips
  • Enhance facial contours
  • Improve the appearance of scars
  • Soften facial wrinkles and folds
  • Diminish vertical lip lines
  • Smooth chin crease

Ideal candidates are healthy adults interested in targeting the signs of aging. Patients who do not qualify for facelifts may be able to undergo the minimally invasive procedure of receiving dermal fillers. If you have undergone cosmetic surgery in the past, you can receive fillers to maintain or improve upon your results.

What to Expect When Getting Facial Fillers

During the consultation, you will meet Dr. Dhaliwal. We will discuss your goals, treatment options, and options for anesthesia for any future procedures.

One filler may take around 15 minutes, while multiple fillers can take up to one hour. We may provide an ice pack to soothe the skin and help manage swelling. The area may be tender for a few days, but often no pain medication is needed. We will provide you with instructions to follow if necessary, but you can expect to resume most activities immediately following the procedure.
